Tensions between Washington and Pyongyang remain elevated although they
did not reach the boiling point many expected following Saturday's military
parade. Meanwhile TRY remains volatile following a referendum that observers
accused of playing host to widespread fraud.
The countdown to the first round of the presidential election in France
has sent the French/German 10-year spread to 71 points. Elsewhere, the
ratcheting up of geopolitical tensions that elevated gold may just be easing,
in relative terms.

USD put in a modest bounce after Treasury Secretary Mnuchin said that a
strong dollar is positive in the longer term. Elsewhere, AUD has weakened again
after the RBA minutes overnight and euro traders have another four trading days
to hold their collective breath ahead of the first round of the French
presidential election.
