speech on his country's relationship with the European Union, plus European
consumer confidence numbers. Both could cause political headaches.

markets are expected to open firmer Wednesday. Markets await the UK PM's speech later today in which he
is likely to shed some light on the country's future ties with the EU. Additionally,
the EU consumer confidence data also holds interest.
