US: FOMC will replace ‘considerable time’ with ‘patient’ in their
statement, but 20% probability they wait * EZ: higher figures for PMI, IFO and
ZEW expectations in December * China: flash manufacturing PMI likely unchanged
in December, but move higher in Q1 * Japan: Abe and his coalition government
will continue to be in a strong position after the election. BoJ is unlikely to
ease again soon.
Strategy – Danske
Bank
Markets correct but it should be temporary * Short-term outlook for oil
is weak * Lower oil price gives stronger baseline growth but higher tail risk *
Euro area is bottoming, US looks strong
Week Ahead – Nordea
In the US we are
expecting inflation to dip and a hawkish FOMC meeting. We expect increasing PMI’s
in the Euro area while we will monitor the presidential election in Greece. We are
likely to see improved momentum in the industrial sector in China reflected
by recovering HSBC/Markit PMI. No early presents in Japan in form
of further expansion of QQE. The Riksbank in Sweden remains
under pressure from the falling oil price and Norway is
expecting increased unemployment.
Viikkokatsaus: Fed alkaa haukkailla – Nordea
Tulevaa USA: Haukkamaisempi Fed * Euroalue: Luottamus
palailee hieman * Suomi: Inflaatio hidastuu. Mennyttä Euroalue: TLTRO jäi taas

Weekly Market Summary – The
Fat Pitch
SPX and DJIA both closed at new highs a week ago; NDX did so the week
before. This week, they each lost 3-4%. In the process, all their gains over
the past 5 weeks, since the end of October, were eviscerated… We think risk/reward
on a one month basis is now positive.

Dollar Correction: How Far and How Long? – Marc
to Market
How far and how long is the dollar's correction? Technically, the dollar
has had a strong bull run that has been sustained for several months, and the
pullback, thus far, has been quite modest in terms of retracement objectives.
